Trinity (Texas) quarterback Tucker Horn and his teammate, linebacker Caleb Harmel lead the D3football.com 2023 All-Region 3 team. Horn was named Region 3 Offensive Player of the Year, while Harmel was named the Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year.

Randolph-Macon coach Pedro Arruza, who has coached his Yellow Jackets to the national semifinals, is the Region 3 Coach of the Year. It’s his 20th season as head coach and his first selection as a D3football.com regional Coach of the Year.

NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 3 includes the American Southwest Conference, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Southern Athletic Association and the USA South Athletic Conference.

Horn, a senior from Graham, Texas, passed for 3,178 yards in 12 games for the Tigers, completing 71.0 percent of his passes and throwing 34 touchdowns, with 3 interceptions. Horn completed 247 of 348 passes on the season, including throwing his first 308 passes of the season without an interception.

A senior from Burton, Texas, Harmel led the Tigers with 75 tackles, while also posting team-highs in pass breakups (six) and interceptions (three). Harmel recorded 15 tackles for loss and five sacks on the season, which saw the Tigers advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 3 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 151 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 15, in D3football.com’s pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl 50.
