Play to the whistle

Pacific hasn't gotten a win yet in the relatively short time since the program was revived, but the Boxers have certainly had their share of excitement. Early in Saturday's loss to Lewis and Clark, Bryan Mills runs back a blocked extra point 100 yards for an unusual defensive two-point conversion.

The Play of the Week is sponsored by the City of Salem, hosts of Stagg Bowl XXXIX.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 5 Play of the Week finalists

  • Nathan Nigolian made his first career reception a memorable one as he caught a juggling touchdown pass for one of St. John Fisher's two TDs in a win against No. 14 Alfred. Watch
  • Shawn Morris makes some shifty moves and breaks tackles for a 36-yard touchdown to give Birmingham-Southern a 31-0 lead against Austin College. Watch
  • St. Vincent defensive back Dan Wirkowski, inserted on offense in a Hail Mary situation, goes up and comes down with the game-tying touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter at Geneva. Watch
