Today's Contest
Today is the fourth game of the 2023 season, the first road contest and the third Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as takes on Ohio Northern University. BW fell to No. 17 John Carroll University in the 35th Gold Bowl Trophy game by a final score of 30-7 last Saturday in Berea. Ohio Northern fell to Heidelberg University by a final score of 35-14 in Ada.

The Series
BW and Ohio Northern are meeting for the 48th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 32-14-1 advantage in the all-time series  BW has won nine of the last 14 meetings. The Polar Bears won the first meeting in 1923 by a final score of 20-13.  

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert
Hilvert is in his seventh  season at BW and has a record of  37-18 and Ohio Athletic Conference slate of 31-16. He is 104-44 in his 15th overall season.   Hilvert is 3-2 all-time  against Ohio Northern.

Ohio Northern Head Coach Dean Paul 
Paul is in his 20th season at Ohio Northern and is the all-time winningest coach in program history with a record of 118-73. He has an OAC mark of  103-65. Paul is 158-85 in 25 overall seasons and is 6-12 against BW.   

Last Game vs. ONU -- September 24, 2022
BW scored 35 points on 262 yards passing and 127 yards rushing for 389 total yards.  Ohio Northern scored 31 points on 174 yardsrushing and 111 yards pasing for 285 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
In week three of the season, BW scored seven points on 100 yards passing and 89  yards rushing for 189 total yards.  Wilmington scored 30 points on 302 yards passing and 112 yards rushing for 414 total yards. 

BW Leaders
Offensively, senior quarterback Joey Marousek (North Royalton) has completed 52-of-93 passes for an OAC fourth best 670 yards with five touchdowns touchdowns. Junior  running back Victor Ford, Jr. (Cleveland/Shaker Heights) leads the ground game with 219 yards on 38 carries with two touchdowns.  Senior wide reciever Darius Stokes (Canton/GlenOak) leads the receiving unit and is tied for sixth in the OAC with 12 catches for 150 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, senior All-OAC linebacker Mason Levasseur (Panama City, Fla./South Walton) is 10th in the OAC with 25 tackles.

Scouting the Polar Bears
In week three of the season, Ohio Northern scored 14 points on 154 yards rushing and 110 yards passing for 254 total yards.  Heidelberg  scored 35 points on 220 yards passing and 109 yards rushing for 329 total yards.

Ohio Northern Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Brennon Norris has completed 45-of-88 passes for 430 yards with six touchdowns.  Sophomore running back Jordan Pettaway has rushed for 152 yards on 18 carries. Sophomore wide reciever Jordan Dean is tied for second in the OAC with 15 receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown.  Defensively, senior All-OAC defensive back Dalton Tjong leads the OAC with 39 tackles.

Homecoming
BW will host its Homecoming n a Bold and Gold Festival on Saturday, September 30 as the Yellow Jackets host Marietta College at 2:00 p.m.  At the conclusion of the game, the Dick Miller and Frank Roppolo BW Players of the Game will be announced.

Parent and Family Weekend
BW will host its Parent and Family Weekend on October 27 and 28.  Come and experience a fun-filled BW weekend with your student! Enjoy social activities and learn more about academics, support services and everything BW. Parent and Family Weekend is open to all parents, guardians, siblings and family members of current BW students. Deadline to register is October 20.

Alumni Returns to Cleveland
Former All-American defensive back Anthony Kendall '22 (Port Richey, Fla.) will play his first game back in Cleveland on Sunday, September 24 when the Tennesse Titans take  on the Cleveland Brown inside Cleveland Browns Stadium.  In two game this season with the Titans, Kendall has made three tackles on special teams.
