Complete 2022 College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team (.pdf)

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior offensive lineman George Newcomb (West Seneca, N.Y) has been named to the College Sports Communicators Football Academic All-District Team.

Newcomb, who garners his first accolade, now advances to Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on December 20.

Newcomb, who carries a 3.619 grade point average in finance and business administration, started in all 10 games and anchored an offensive unit that was third in the OAC with 363.3 total yards of offense per game, third with 172.1 yards rushing per contest and fifth with 191.1 yards passing per game. 

For his career, Newcomb is a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection.  He appeared in 20 games and was part of offensive lines that averaged 365.9 total yards of offense per contest, 205.8 yards rushing per game and 160.1 yards passing per contest.

Off the field, Newcomb is an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, member of Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, Ratcliffe Fellowship recipient and the 2022 Stinger Superfan Award winner.

BW finished the season with a 7-3 overall record and in third place in the OAC with a mark of 7-2.
