Lutes Ink Deal to Join Opendorse

TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University Athletic Department has partnered with Opendorse, the industry leader in Name, Image, Likeness, to provide Lute student-athletes with the education and tools to maximize their NIL value and marketability.
 
"It's important for us, as Lutes, to be leaders on our teams, in the classroom, in our communities, and among our peers. This partnership lives up to our commitment to leadership by being one of the first NCAA Division III institutions to proactively engage in the future NIL success of our student-athletes," said Athletic Director Mike Snyder
 
PLU becomes just the second NCAA Division III institution and the first on the West Coast to partner with Opendorse and take advantage of the companies suite of services – empowering PLU student-athletes to understand, build, and protect their brands with industry-leading education and marketing resources. 
 
In partnering with Opendorse, PLU will be utilizing the same platform used by student-athletes from power five programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big Ten Conference, Big 12 Conference, Pacific 12 Conference, and the Southeastern Conference.
