The Action
The Saints scored on its first drive of the game in just four plays. Zach Edwards completed a pass to Hunter Thompson for 46 yards and the TD. Donovan Blatz hit the extra point for CSS. The second quarter was a big one for CSS. It started with the last two plays of a Crown possession. Will Halloran returned the Storm punt for 37 yards to put the Saints in excellent position. Crown went three-and-out on its next possession and the Saints followed up with a successful drive. Edwards completed a 43-yard touchdown to Aaron Olson. This made the score 21-7, but Crown followed up on the next drive and got to within seven point of tying the lead. The third and final touchdown came from CSS, another pass completion to Thompson for 19 yards. That put the Saints up 28-14 headed into the half.

The third quarter saw another touchdown from each squad. The first one went to CSS on a rushing touchdown from Jack Peru to put them up 35-14. Crown was not ready to give up though, and it answered with a score of its own to give the quarter its final score of 35-21.

CSS made it into the end zone two more times in the game. Olson had his second TD reception of the game for the first points of the fourth quarter to extend the Saints lead to 42-21. The Storm had some misfortune on their next drive when it ended in an interception by Rick Johnson for the Saints with just over seven minutes left in the game.
