SCHENECTADY, NY -- A swing of three straight road games in three states wraps up this weekend for the Union College football team. The Dutchmen are at Morrisville State this Saturday, September 30 for a 1 p.m. kickoff. It will be the final non-league game of the season.

Union has matched last season's win total, and the Dutchmen are off to the best four game start since a 3-1 mark in 2009. The last time the Dutchmen had won back-to-back road games was in 2007 when Union won at Rochester (Sept. 22) and at Merchant Marine (Sept. 29). The last overall three game winning streak for Union was in 2012 when the Dutchmen won four straight during an eventual 6-4 record that season.

Evan Gilland had seven tackles and a 34 yard interception return as Union defeated Curry, 17-14 last Saturday. Gilland was the Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week while Nick Cascione completed 80% of his passes and was named to the league's weekly honor roll. Union is ranked 12th in sacks allowed and 24th in completion percentage in NCAA Division III statistics.

Morrisville State is 2-1 and after home loss to Nichols, and has lost straight. Schenectady native Brandon Gwinner has passed for 485 yards and ran for 369 yards while combining for 10 touchdowns. This is the first football game played between the two schools.
