Franklin Continues Ascent in Top 25 Polls

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College football team continues to climb in national NCAA Division III Top 25 polls behind four consecutive victories and a 5-1 record for the 2016 season.

The Grizzlies moved up one spot to No. 17 in this week's D3football.com poll, while gaining two spots to No. 18 in the American Football Coaches Association poll.

Franklin is coming off a convincing 40-7 Homecoming victory against Earlham College on October 8. The team scored all of its points in the first half and allowed the Quakers to score a touchdown in the final minute of the game. The victory moved the team into sole possession of first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 4-0 record.

The Grizzlies will enjoy an off week on the schedule this Saturday before hosting Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on October 22 at 1:30 p.m. from Faught Stadium.
