Adrian's Connor Storms Boots Way to MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week

FREELAND, Mich.--Adrian College junior punter Connor Storms (Flint, Mich./Carman Ainsworth High School) has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week, it was announced by the MIAA office on Monday.

This marks the second conference weekly award for Storms in his Bulldog career--he also was recognized in Week #5 in 2014.

During a 28-21 MIAA-opening win at Albion, Storms averaged 39.0 yards on five punts. He had one inside the 20-yard line to give him a conference-leading seven on the season, and a long of 55 yards.

With 195 punting yards against the Britons, he increased his career total to 4,528 to cement his No. 6 place on the school's all-time chart.

On the season, he lists second in the MIAA with a 39.6 punting average--good for 34th nationally in NCAA Division III.

Storms is a criminal justice major with a minor in health.
