BALTIMORE, MD – Fresh off one of the most successful seasons in school history, the honors continue to roll in for the 2015 Johns Hopkins football team, which has been selected by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Team of the Year. This is the first time Johns Hopkins has earned the award.

The 2015 ECAC Teams of the Year in FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III, along with recipients of the Lambert Meadowlands Awards in each division, will be honored at the Eastern College Football Awards Banquet, which will be hosted by the ECAC at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on February 25.

In addition to Johns Hopkins, the ECAC Team of the Year winners are Temple (FBS), Fordham (FCS) and Newberry (Division II). The Lambert Cup winners in each division include Navy (FBS), Dartmouth, Harvard and Princeton (FCS), Shepherd (Division II) and Wesley (Division III).

"We are honored to have been selected as the ECAC Division III Football Team of the Year," Johns Hopkins football coach Jim Margraff stated. "The 2015 season was a special one for our players and program and we look forward to representing Johns Hopkins at one of the premier college football events in the East. We are very appreciative of the ECAC for its efforts it promoting college football and selecting our program for this prestigious award."

Under Margraff's guidance, Johns Hopkins posted an 11-1 record, won a seventh straight Centennial Conference title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs for the third time in four years. The Blue Jays spent the entire 2015 season ranked in the top 15 in the nation and Johns Hopkins is one of just four Division III teams in the nation to be ranked in the top 20 every week since the beginning of the 2012 season (Mount Union, Linfield, Mary Hardin-Baylor).
