Receiver Matt Kroll moved up the Hope College football record book in two categories during a 14-3 loss to Adrian on a rainy and cold Saturday at Smith Stadium.

The Flying Dutchmen's 3-0 lead lasted only briefly.

Twenty-one seconds later, Adrian running back Emanuel Stewart ripped off a 69-yard touchdown run to give Adrian (5-3, 2-2 MIAA) the lead for good. The Bulldogs added another touchdown 42 seconds before halftime.

Sophomore defensive back Mason Rosado of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), topped Hope with 12 tackles.
