Cote threw for 215 yards and three scores and junior Anthony Nastasi (River Edge, N.J.) caught five passes for 75 yards and one score to propel the Colonels to victory. The home team overcame a pair of interceptions by Cote – one each to Nichols sophomores Brett McEvoy (Wrentham, Mass.) and TJ Ellison (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) – to earn their first conference win of the season. Turning Point
Facing a third and nine from their own 39 on the opening drive of the second half, McCourt was sacked and lost the football. The fumble was recovered by Curry junior Stephen Blake (Hartland, Conn.) at the 17. Following a 15-yard rush by Shairs, Cote hooked up with junior tight end J. Riley Barron (Whitinsville, Mass.) for a two-yard touchdown to make it 20-7.
