MENOMONIE, Wis.-- The No. 6 Wartburg football team moved to 3-0 on the season with the 41-33 win over UW-Stout (1-2) Saturday night.
Senior Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) accounted for four total touchdowns as he threw for two and ran for as many. He finished with 300 yards through the air and was 19-31-1. His top target was classmate Robbie Anstoetter (Farley) who had nine catches for 197 yards and one touchdown and his yard total set a new career-best after his 124 yard game last week.
Schrader now needs three passing TDs to set the school record as he now ranks second with 57.
Senior Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) led the ground attack as he recorded 148 yards with two touchdowns. This was his 12th 100-yard game of his career and the third-highest in his time in a Knights uniform. Domeyer is now tied for third in rushing TDs with Mark Kelly at 41. He needs three to move into second.
Senior Will Janssen (Mediapolis) led the defense with 14 total tackles (eight solo and six assists).
The Orange and Black are off from competition next weekend, but return to the gridiron to host Central Saturday, Oct. 3 in the annual Homecoming game at 1:30 p.m.
