2015 Football Schedule

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – On Friday, Maritime head football coach Clayton Kendrick-Holmes, who will be entering his 11th season at Maritime, has announced the 2015 schedule for the football team this coming fall.

This season's slate will feature five home contests and five road contests, and will also introduce a new opponent to the Privateers this coming season during the team's season opener.

The year gets underway with Maritime opening up the campaign with a matchup at home against the Maine Maritime Mariners at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 5. The Privateers will meet the Mariner for the first time in program history.

The team heads on the road for its final two non-conference contests, the first of which takes place in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts on September 11 as Maritime takes on the Mass. Maritime Buccaneers for the 8th Annual Chowder Bowl. The following weekend, Maritime takes on the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Mariners in Kings Point, N.Y.

Following the team's bye week in week four, Maritime opens up Eastern Collegiate Football Conference play on Saturday, October 3 at 2 p.m. when the Privateers play host to the Anna Maria AMCats to cap off the Maritime Homecoming festivities. The Privateers are on the road for their next two weeks against Becker on October 10, and Norwich on October 17.

The end of the season will see Maritime play three of its final four games of the season at home beginning with a 1 p.m. kickoff on Reinhart Field against Castleton State on October 24. The final road game of the season takes place the following weekend when the Privateers take on defending league champion Husson in Bangor, Maine.

Hero Appreciation Day takes place at Reinhart Field on November 7 as the Privateers play host to the Mount Ida Mustangs for a 2 p.m. kickoff to start off the month of November.

The following week will close out the season as Maritime and Gallaudet will renew their rivalry with a 1 p.m. start at home on November 14. Maritime has sent Gallaudet to regular season finale loses each of the past two seasons, including ending the Gallaudet's perfect season in 2013, before shutting out Bison in 2014.
