With the release of the final 2014 NCAA Division III football statistics, Manchester University earned a pair of national statistical championships.

The program will receive a pair of plaques for the top spots that sophomore return specialist/wide receiver Dakota Nelson (Fairland, Ind.) registered in all-purpose yards per game and punt return yardage per attempt. His 235.9 all-purpose yards per contest led the category by over 32 yards with second place being 203.5 pg, while his 25.5 yards per punt return topped the category by over four yards with the runner-up averaging 21.2 per attempt. He was also first in combined kick return yardage (1,212).

Nelson's three first-place efforts were among 12 top 25 slots for the Black and Gold. The sophomore added a second in punt return touchdowns (three) and was seventh in kickoff return scores (one). Other individual top 25 placings went to Nelson (receiving yards per game – No. 14 – 111.6/total receiving yardage – No. 21 – 1,116/receptions per game – No. 19 – 7.6) and junior quarterback Logan Haston (Avon, Ind.) (total offense per game – No. 16 – 317.4 ypg/points responsible for per game – No. 22 – 19.4/passing yardage per game – No. 25 – 272.2). The team ended with two such rankings, as the Spartans were second in punt return yardage (25.47 per attempt) and No. 14 in fewest fumbles lost (four).
