More news about: Colby
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Connor Beerworth, who was part of the staff at the University of New Hampshire and coached at Castleton State, will be an assistant coach for the Colby College football team this fall.
Beerworth will lead the linebackers for Colby head coach Jonathan Michaeles.
Beerworth worked as a graduate intern at UNH since January. During the 2013 season, he coached outside linebackers, strong safeties, and worked with special teams at Castleton State. Beerworth also coached with the Rutland (Vt.) High School football team during the 2013 season with the running backs and defensive backs.
"Connor will bring an energy and enthusiasm to our team," Michaeles said. "He is a tremendous young coach whose football acumen belies his age. He also understands the challenges of being a student-athlete at an elite academic institution."

Beerworth graduated from Union College in May 2013, earning team defensive MVP honors as an outside linebacker in his senior season. He also was on the All-Liberty League All-Academic Team.
"Connor comes from a great football background, playing at one of the best programs in the state of Vermont for Mike Norman at Rutland," Michaeles said. "His father also was a long-time high school coach at Rutland before Connor's playing days.
