ASHLAND, Va. – Junior quarterback Zac Naccarato (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, but it was not enough as Randolph-Macon dropped a 38-14 decision to Johns Hopkins at Day Field.

Naccarato hit senior tight end Matt Williamson (Wilson, N.C./Princeton) on a 10-yard scoring strike on the opening drive of the game to give the Yellow Jackets (0-1) a 7-0 lead.

The Blue Jays (1-0) scored the next 24 points before senior running back Will McGhee (Fishersville, Va./St. Anne's-Belfield) caught a 45-yard scoring toss from Naccarato to make it 24-14. JHU scored the final two touchdowns of the game.

Senior wide receiver Christian Cook (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) had eight catches for 118 yards for the Jackets.

Sophomore safety Eric Long (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock) led R-MC with 10 tackles.

The Jackets travel to Averett on Saturday, Sept. 14, for a 1 p.m. contest.
