SERIES:  Began in 1884.  Williams holds the edge 71-50-5.  Since 1987, the Ephs are 19-5-1 vs. the Lord Jeffs, but the series has been much more tightly contested in the last decade as Amherst has claimed four victories.

For the first time in four years neither team enters the contest at 7-0.

This will be the last Williams-Amherst contest played on the current configuration of Pratt Field.

All-time on Pratt Field the Ephs have compiled a winning record in the 63 games played to date, compiling a record of 32-27-4.

COACHES:  Williams head coach Aaron Kelton (17-6) is in his third year at the helm of the Ephs.

Kelton was the first Eph head football coach to debut with a perfect season (8-0-0) in 2010, when he led the Ephs to the Little Three and NESCAC titles, while earning NESCAC Coach of the Year honors.

Kelton is the first African American head football coach at Williams and in NESCAC.

Kelton is 1-1 vs. Amherst

Amherst head coach E.J. Mills (93-34) is completing his 16th season as head coach of the Lord Jeffs.  Mills served as the defensive coordinator at Amherst from 1993-96 before being named the head coach in 1997.

Mills is 5-10 in his career against Williams and is the only Amherst coach to defeat Eph legend and College Hall of Fame honoree Dick Farley (2000: 20-12 & 2002: 45-35).

LITTLE THREE:  The oldest continuously contested football championship in the nation without a membership change began in 1910.

Today's game will determine the 2012 champion as both Amherst and Williams have defeated Wesleyan this season.

Summary of Little Three titles (most recent):

Williams -- 48 (2010)

Amherst -- 29 (2011)

Wesleyan -- 12 (1970)

2-way tie: 1 Amherst/Williams (1995)

3-way ties: 8 (2002)
