More news about: Presentation

Aberdeen, SD

Saints Head Football Coach Andy Carr finishes his 2nd season at the helm Saturday, 11/3/12 when PC hosts Triniy Bible College. Kick off is set for 6:00pm.

The Saints enter their final game of 2012 coming off the program's first overtime contest, a 20-17 loss to St. Scholastica. Junior QB Stephen Braswell became the Saints all time leader in passing yards, throwing for 191 yards on the day with 2 scores. A 14 yarder to Senior WR Jalanni James which cut an eleven point deficit to four. Braswell then connected with Sophomore RB Will Vealy with a 5 yard TD, that put the Saints on top 14-10. While the final outcome was not in their favor, Coach Carr was pleased with this team's effort against one of the tougher teams they've faced this season. "Scholastica is a very good program, one of the top teams in the UMAC. We made some plays when they were there, we just need to continue to make strides to make those plays late in games."

Trinity Bible enters Saturday's game coming off a 37-24 loss to Dakota College. For PC, this game presents 2 opportunities; A chance to end the year on a high note, beating a rival and quality opponent. And it would allow the team to "Do Right" by the members of the Saints Senior class. "This is a game where our guys will be prepared for physically and mentally" Coach Carr said. "We have the opportunity to send our three seniors out with our best effort. Those three individuals chose to be a part of our program when they could have gone and played somewhere else, and this gives us a chance to show our collective appreciation for them."
