TACOMA, Wash. – Junior wide receiver Adam Kniffin broke two more on Saturday to end the 2011 season. With 13 catches for 120 yards, Kniffin ran his season totals to 95 catches for 995 yards.

Both season marks are new records in the Logger record book. His 95 catches breaks the single season record he set in 2010 when he hauled in 92 catches for 911 yards.

Kniffin's 995 yards this season is also the most in Logger history in a single season. Dan Thurston set the Logger receiving yards record in 1968 with 992 yards receiving. Kniffin surpassed the 43-year old record on his final catch of the season, which went for 14 yards on the Loggers final drive.

Kniffin now owns every receiving record in the Logger record book except receiving yards in a game and receiving yards in a career. Mike Bos owns both records with 222 receiving yards against Carroll College in 1982 and 2,312 receiving yards in his career.

With his senior season still to come, Kniffin is on pace to surpass Bos' career mark somewhere in the middle of next season. The Loggers current Preseason All-American has tallied 1,906 career receiving yards, putting him just 406 yards behind Bos. He averages 10.2 yards per catch and 105.9 yards per game over the past two years.

The Loggers also tied two passing marks from their record-shattering year in 2010. Last season, the Loggers completed 262 passes on 458 attempts as a team to set records in both categories. The Loggers ended 2011 with the exact same numbers, 262-of-458 through the air, to tie the record.

Kniffin is among 20 starters that will return to the field for the Loggers in 2012.
