St. Thomas scored two quick touchdowns, but Mount Union answered with a 34-7 run and put away the Tommies, defeating St. Thomas 49-35.

The Purple Raiders (15-0) came out with a different look in the second half and just ran right at the Tommies, with Logan Nemeth rushing for 126 yards in the second half and B.J. Mitchell coming off the bench to run for 63 yards as well in the win.

Jordan Roberts ran for 101 yards and a touchdown in the first half for St. Thomas, but Mount Union held him to 34 yards after halftime.

With the game tied 14-14 at the half, St. Thomas got the third-quarter kickoff and the win, which was blowing steadily at speeds of 20-30 mph. And the Tommies took advantage of it on their first possession, with John Gould hitting Nick Waldvogel on a broken play for a 58-yard touchdown. But Mount Union scored quickly, with three touchdown drives of under 100 seconds apiece to take a 35-21 lead.

Nemeth finished with 220 yards and two touchdowns, while Roman Namdar caught five passes for 127 yards and a score. But it was also tight end Lane Clark, who caught two touchdown passes on the night, just his second and third of the season in the win.
