Trine won a season opener for the seventh consecutive year and Elmhurst rode a big second half to a win against Loras in Thursday night's two opening games in the 2013 Division III football season.

Josh Williams, brother of 2012 Gagliardi Trophy winner Scottie Williams, ran for 97 yards on 19 carries in Elmhurst's 35-9 victory, with 80 of the yards coming in the second half.
Tyler Keck kicked a school-record four field goals in Trine's 19-3 win against Manchester, a game in which Manchester was limited to 47 yards rushing.
Tomorrow night, 10 games are scheduled, including the first game for St. John's without John Gagliardi in most of our lifetimes.
