Hall, Hoerr remembered

More news about: Delaware Valley | Monmouth

Former Delaware Valley football player Amadeus Hall and Monmouth player Tommy Hoerr each died and were laid to rest this past week.

Hoerr, 21, died after falling out of the back of a moving truck. He had just completed his junior year as a business major at Monmouth. Hall, 24, was a senior criminal justice major.

“Amadeus was a good kid with a great personality,” Delaware Valley College head coach Jim Clements said. “He was very well-liked by his peers and his coaches and was part of some great success here at Delaware Valley College.

“He was always down at the stadium, even after the season, with the players and the coaches and trying to get everybody to smile and laugh. That was his personality and that's why we are all saddened by the loss.”

Gordon Mann wrote more about Hall in a post on the Daily Dose.

Monmouth has set up the Tommy Hoerr Memorial Fund, which will benefit a senior student from Brimfield High School who enters Monmouth College as a freshman with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and has involvement in at least two extracurricular activities and proof of community involvement and active volunteerism. The football staff’s goal is to raise an initial fund of $10,000.
