For the 10th year in a row and the 14th time in 18 seasons, St. John's led Division III in average attendance in 2010. The Johnnies drew nearly 9,000 fans on average to their five home games this season, including 16,421 for a home game against archrival St. Thomas, the largest known reported attendance number in Division III football history.

The NCAA does not track single-game attendance records in Division III football. Attendance counts are self-reported and most often are estimates rather than actual head counts.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference took over the top spot among conferences, averaging 3,341 fans. The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had led D-III conferences in attendance each of the previous five seasons.
