Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon made a fantastic one-handed grab on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Redskins in a game his Colts won 27-24. But we here at D3football.com, enjoying the game from the comfort of a recliner on Sunday night, knew we had seen this before.
Below is video, and to the right, a photo of a similar one-handed catch Garcon, a two-time first-team D3football.com All-America selection made while at Mount Union. (Apologize for the quality, but this is not exactly NBC.)
The photo above originally ran with a piece in 2008 about Garcon's quest to reach the NFL out of college.
Garcon, who caught four passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, was not the only Division III player on NBC on Sunday night. Byron Westbrook, a two-time D3football.com All-American at Salisbury, recovered a fumble that led to a Redskins field goal, while former John Carroll linebacker London Fletcher led all players with 14 tackles, seven solo, broke up a pass and forced a fumble for the Redskins.
