No. 10 Delaware Valley dominated No. 20 Washington and Jefferson 27-0 to open the PAC-MAC challenge. The Aggies rolled up 466 yards and allowed just 67 while gaining gained 27 first downs to the Presidents' five. Week 2 scoreboard.

Grove City did come up with an upset, beating Lebanon Valley 17-14. But Widener shut out Thiel, Lycoming crushed Westminster and FDU-Florham beat St. Vincent. Bethany survived a late field goal attempt to top King's 31-29 and salvage some PAC pride. Albright beat Geneva 54-27 in front of a huge road crowd.

Saturday night, homestanding No. 14 Hardin-Simmons upended No. 13 Willamette 31-22. UW-Eau Claire knocked off No. 9 St. John's 23-20 in overtime, while No. 7 Central overcame three interceptions by Ben Hall to beat Augustana 28-23 on the road.

No. 6 Mary Hardin-Baylor's trip to WIAC country had a rough start as the Crusaders fell behind UW-La Crosse 19-0. But they scored the next 24 points while holding the Eagles without a first down for four possessions and Mary Hardin-Baylor escaped with a 24-19 victory. No. 2 Mount Union edged away from UW-Oshkosh in the third quarter to go on to win 45-28 in its season opener as Neal Seaman answered a lot of questions with 26-for-37 passing and five touchdowns. Monmouth lost quarterback Alex Tanney to a shoulder injury early on and Grinnell came up with a gigantic win, 17-15. Ursinus took its first lead with 6:21 left in the game and made it stand up 10-7 against Franklin and Marshall in a key Centennial Conference game. Coast Guard batted down a two-point conversion pass in the closing minutes and the Bears held on to beat archrival Merchant Marine 10-8 for the Secretary's Cup in New London, Conn. Cortland State scored 17 unanswered points and won 24-12 at Kean in a game between NJAC contenders. Michael Engle threw a school-record six touchdown passes in his first career start as DePauw opened with a 45-16 win against Rose-Hulman. Randolph-Macon improved to 2-0 and handed Johns Hopkins a loss in its first game of the season, scoring with 33 seconds left to win 41-37.

North Park scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to rally past Benedictine 31-20. UW-Platteville donned orange for the first time in its stadium's 39-year history and had a comeback for the ages in beating Dubuque 21-17.
