The University of Redlands football team traveled to Thousand Oaks on Saturday to square off against the Cal Lutheran University Kingsmen in the annual Smudge-Pot showdown. After trailing by eight at halftime, the Bulldogs made the necessary adjustments to overtake the lead while shutting out the Kingsmen in the final two-and-a-half quarters to snag a hard-fought, 21-17 win, and maintain the Smudge Pot for the fifth-consecutive season.
The University of Redlands football team squared off against the visiting Poets of Whittier College during Saturday's Senior Night in Ted Runner Stadium. After recognizing 27 Bulldogs in their final season, the Maroon and Gray left no doubt in a recording-breaking, 76-7 victory in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action. While lighting up the scoreboard with the most points in school history, Redlands also held the Poets scoreless until late in the fourth quarter with an impressive defensive effort. Overall, the final home game of the regular season proved to be a roaring success for the Maroon and Gray, which utilized the majority of its large roster in a total-team effort.

The University of Redlands football team celebrated Homecoming on Saturday night with a solid 42-20 win over the visiting Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Sagehens. The Bulldogs built an early lead with 35 first-half points while minimizing the visitors' chances with outstanding defense that allowed just 25 yards on the ground.
