November 28, 2023 McCorkle leaves for Northwestern State Blaine McCorkle, who led Belhaven through its transition from the NAIA to Division III, to the USA South, and to the D-III playoffs, is taking on the challenge of Northwestern State, which lost its coach and canceled the end of its season after the killing of a player.
November 11, 2023 Blazers Capture USA South Title with Resounding 46-19 Win over Brevard JACKSON, Miss. – The 2023 Belhaven Football team etched their name in history on Saturday, taking down Brevard, 46-19, to seize the USA South Athletic Conference title. With the win, the 9-1 Blazers earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the first time since the move from the NAIA.
November 4, 2023 Blunt Breaks All-Time Rushing Record in 61-7 Rout of Southern Virginia BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Belhaven Football team bounced back in a big way on Saturday, throttling Southern Virginia, 61-7, to tie the highest regular season win total (8) in program history. In the win, running back Kolbe Blunt surpassed Brad Foley as the all-time rushing yards leader with 3,221 yards in his five-year career.
October 28, 2023 Blazers Fall in Overtime at Maryville MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Belhaven Football team dropped their first game of the 2023 season in a 20-7 overtime defeat to Maryville at Lloyd Thornton Stadium on Saturday. The Blazers are now 7-1 (5-1 USAC) with two games left on the schedule.
October 21, 2023 Belhaven Earns 45-10 Homecoming Win over Methodist JACKSON, Miss. – It was a successful Homecoming for the Belhaven Football team as the Blazers cruised to a 45-10 win over Methodist on Saturday at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. With the win, Belhaven improves to 7-0 (5-0 USAC) heading into back-to-back road matchups at Maryville and Southern Virginia.
