One of the biggest questions we receive every offseason is asking when Division III football schedules are released. The answer is, there is no hard and fast date. Some are available in January, and some East Region schools don't get their schedules posted until April or May.
As of early April, we have 94 percent of the Division III games posted. Fully half of D-III schools have a full 10- or nine-game schedule loaded. For the rest of schools, we have whatever is available, so if five of your school's opponents have released their schedule, those are the five games we have. Games that have TBA times listed will be updated as we get closer to the season.
Meanwhile, we anticipate the rematch of the epic Aurora-St. John's playoff game which is scheduled to take place in Week 1. We also look forward to schools such as Hampden-Sydney reaching out to play new opponents Widener and Baldwin Wallace. Mount Union will open at home against Westminster (Pa.), while Mary Hardin-Baylor has a new non-conference opponent in Simpson and UW-Whitewater will play at Carthage. Plus, we should all be excited about who defending champion North Central opens its conference schedule with.
All of this presumes that we get to play an entire college football season in 2020.
