Offense

QB Nik Schulte, Sr., Loras
Schulte made the first start of his career and made the most of it, breaking school records for passing yards in a game, passing attempts in a game, pass completions in a game, and passing touchdowns in a game. He was 47-for-64 passing for 588 yards and six touchdowns in Loras' 56-52 win vs. Augustana.

OL Tyler Howlett, Andrew Rodriguez, Daven Klein, Christopher Bennett, Eddie Scott, Texas Lutheran
Playing without starting right guard Johnny Garcia, the Bulldogs still piled up 519 yards of total offense and ran 88 plays in a 38-14 home win vs. Louisiana College. The offensive line paved the way for TLU backs to rush for 300 yards on 53 carries and did not allow a sack in 48 combined quarterback passes/scrambles.

RB Sam Benger, So., Carnegie Mellon
Benger turned in a record-setting performance in a 38-14 setback to No. 14 Washington & Jefferson. He rushed for a school record 303 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns, averaging 14.4 yards per touch. Benger scored on runs of 51 and 85 yards and had other runs of 46 and 66 yards.

RB Brandon Cherry, Sr., Johns Hopkins
Cherry touched the ball just 12 times against Moravian, but four of those 12 ended with Cherry in the end zone as he fueled a 45-23 victory. Hescored on runs of 73, 14 and 6 yards and added a 34-yard touchdown reception as JHU built a 42-0 lead early in the third quarter.  Cherry rushed nine times for 118 yards and the three scores and added three receptions for 47 yards and the other score.

WR Corey Stump, Sr., Wittenberg
Stump had a career day in a 42-21 victory over Ohio Wesleyan, which extended Wittenberg's NCAC win streak to 23 games. Stump hauled in 14 passes, which tied the school record, for 234 yards, which is the second-best total in program history. He caught four touchdown passes, including an 84-yard strike to open the game's scoring.

WR Kirby Breault, Jr., Juniata
Breault had a career game for the Eagles in their 30-25 setback against Gettysburg. He caught 13 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns. The 13 receptions are the most by a Juniata player since 2003. His TD receptions were 15 yards, 75 yards, and five yards.

TE Shane Finnegan, Jr., St. Scholastica
Finnegan had five of his six receptions in the fourth quarter in a tight game Saturday at Eureka. Two of those receptions were touchdowns, first to put CSS up 14-6 and then again with seven seconds left to give the Saints the 21-14 victory. On that game-winning drive, Finnegan had three receptions, including a key fourth-down conversion.

Defense

DE Jake Ceresna, Sr., Cortland State
Ceresna led Cortland with 11 tackles, including three sacks for 14 yards among his five total tackles for losses, in a 34-17 win at St. John Fisher. 

DT William Ghaul, Sr., Ursinus
Ghaul had four tackles for loss and a sack, while also forcing and recovering a fumble in a 17-13 loss to Franklin and Marshall. He finished with seven tackles, six solo.

DE Dereck Pacheco, So., WPI
Pacheco continued his strong start to the season by posting a career-high 11 tackles in WPI's 27-10 victory over Norwich. He amassed 3 1/2 sacks and also blocked a 44-yard field goal attempt to help the Engineers move to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. 

LB Ben Bouchez, Jr., Austin
Bouchez led an Austin College defense that came up with eight takeaways, including six interceptions, in a 55-12 win over Whittier. Bouchez had two picks, both of which he returned for touchdowns. He returned his first interception 52 yards for a score, and added a 45-yard interception return in the fourth quarter. He also had three tackles.

LB Preston Stewart, Jr., Berry
Stewart played a big role in Berry's 24-0 win over Rhodes. In the Vikings' first-ever shutout he had four tackles (three solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble.

LB Will Longthorne, Jr., DePauw
Longthorne recorded 10 tackles, all of them solo, and forced a fumbles in the Tigers' 49-20 win vs. Wooster. He finished with four tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup.

LB Jacob Pardonnet, So., Hope
Pardonnet posted a career-high three sacks in the team's first win of the season, a 48-13 victory over Concordia (Wis.). It's the most sacks by a Hope player since 2011. He led the team with 10 tackles, six solo.

CB Nasir Beyah, So., Maryville
Beyah accounted for 13 total tackles, seven solo, in a 30-13 win vs. Emory and Henry. He forced two fumbles and intercepted a pass, including recovering one of his forced fumbles on the 1-yard line on third-and goal. Beyah also had a fourth-down tackle to stop the Wasps on a fourth-and-5 try at the Maryville 17-yard line to keep the margin at 17 with 9:33 left in the game.

S Julius Brunson, So., Brockport State
Brunson had two interceptions, including a 40-yard return, in the Golden Eagles' conference-opening 35-14 win against Hartwick. He also added three tackles on the day and got his hand on two pass breakups.

S Donte Thomas, Jr., Albright
Thomas was instrumental in helping lead Albright to a 27-10 victory over Widener. He scooped up a fumble and returned it 63 yards giving the Lions a 7-0 first-quarter lead. With Widener driving in the second quarter, Thomas intercepted a pass at the Albright 11-yard line. He also added four tackles for the day.

CB Antonio Johnson, So., Stevenson
Johnson totaled two interceptions for the second consecutive week, with one of them coming in Stevenson territory in the fourth quarter of a 17-14 Mustangs win. Johnson led the team with nine total tackles, seven solo.

Special teams

K Daniel Sobolewski, Sr., Albright
On a day in which yards were at a premium, Sobolewski made the most of what he got to work with. He went 2-for-2 on field goals, including a fourth-quarter kick from 51 yards out in a 27-10 win vs. Widener. In addition, he also had three touchbacks on kickoffs, and he averaged 46.4 yards on nine punts to help the field position battle.

P Ryan Travis, So., East Texas Baptist
Travis averaged 41.9 yards per punt and pinned three of them inside the 20-yard line in a 46-37 win at Southwestern. One of his punts was fumbled on the Southwestern 10-yard line and the Tigers scored four plays later.

P Jack Swanberg, Sr., Hamline
Swanberg was a busy guy in Hamline's 42-35 loss to Gustavus. In the first half, he blocked a Brandon Boche field goal try. In the fourth quarter, he blocked a Casey Decker punt that was recovered for a touchdown that cut GAC's lead to 42-28. On the ensuing kickoff, Jack recovered the onside kick and Hamline went on to score again.

RET Dillon Villhauer, Jr., UW-Platteville
Dillon Villhauer returned three punts on the day, one of them going 75 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter vs. North Central. The touchdown and extra point tied the game and the Pioneers went on to win in overtime, 35-28.
