When you've already done it all

More news about: Christopher Newport

Marcus Morrast had already seemingly done it all for Christopher Newport as the Captains lined up for their possession in the second overtime. But it turned out he still had something left in his bag of tricks, and it got CNU to a 51-48 win vs. Methodist and the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 4 Play of the Week finalists

  • It just looks like a wide receiver throwing a reverse pass until you realize that it's the quarterback going up high. Anthony Davis to quarterback Seth Klein opened the scoring as Widener defeated FDU-Florham 30-0. Watch
  • Josh Bungum pulls in a 23-yard touchdown pass from Nick Martin to get the Johnnies' offense off to a good start in St. John's 24-14 win at St. Thomas. Watch
  • With Stevenson leading 13-6 late in the 4th quarter, Albright drives to the Mustang 48 with 13 seconds left. The Lions' Pat Wise throws for the end zone, but Stevenson sophomore Austin Tennessee deflects and holds on to the interception as he falls to the turf to preserve the victory. Watch
  • Zach Broberg tiptoes down the sideline en route to a 54-yard touchdown, helping St. Norbert rally from a 27-6 deficit. This run made it 27-20 and he scored the game-winner later in the fourth quarter. Watch
