January 9, 2024 OAC, PAC, NCAC, HCAC going bowling Four Division III football conferences are joining the ever-growing number of leagues sponsoring postgame bowls, as the Ohio Athletic Conference, Presidents' Athletic Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference and Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference will square off this November in Canton.
June 26, 2022 Defiance assistant gets promoted Bill Nickell, who joined the Defiance football staff in February as an assistant coach, was promoted to head coach and will be the Yellow Jackets' fifth coach in seven seasons.
May 6, 2022 Defiance coaching job turns over again Earnest Wilson, who spent the 2021 season as Defiance's interim coach, then had the interim tag removed this offseason, will instead move on.
July 8, 2018 Defiance coach leaves after one season Aaron Mershman, who took over the head coaching position at Defiance in July of 2017, left it for an assistant coaching job in July 2018. He will be the offensive line coach at Misericordia.
July 3, 2017 Goff goes from Defiance to TCNJ Casey Goff spent one year as head coach at Defiance this past season and is heading to TCNJ, where he's replacing an interim head coach.
