The Washington and Lee University football team is on the road for the final time this season as they travel to Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. match up with the Eagles at Jopson Athletic Complex.
The Empire 8 title is on the line as nationally second-ranked Cortland travels to Brockport. Both teams are undefeated in league play and the winner will clinch the league title and an NCAA tournament automatic berth. Cortland has won the previous three Empire 8 titles from 2021-23 and Brockport earned the league's NCAA berth the previous three seasons from 2017-19 (Cortland was co-champ with Brockport in 2019 but lost the head-to-head tiebreaker).

The Senior Day victory gives the Pioneers an 8-0 overall record and 7-0 Ohio Athletic Conference mark. The Quakers fall to 1-7 on the season and 1-6 in the OAC.

Christopher Newport University built a 38-0 halftime lead Saturday, and then coasted to a 45-7 victory over William Paterson University. The triumph at TowneBank Stadium was CNU's third straight, and also marked the fifth straight loss for the Pioneers.

The visiting Tigers (5-3, 3-2) never trailed against the host Eagles (5-3, 3-2), leading 10-0 after one quarter, 17-7 at halftime and 20-14 after three quarters en route to the triumph.
The Carnegie Mellon University Tartans, ranked 17th nationally, hosted the Westminster College Titans for a homecoming President’s Athletics Tartans (PAC) heavy-weight bout Saturday, at Richard M Lackner Field, The Tartans got out front early and never looked back, winning 45-20 to stay firmly in the PAC title race.
