Instant Impact

« Crotty's first career reception went for a 54-yard touchdown midway through the second quarter that gave the Blue Jays a 14-10 lead they would never relinquish. He added a 27-yard touchdown catch late in the third quarter that pushed the lead to 27-10.
« Although data is incomplete, there is no record of another freshman scoring two touchdowns in a season-opening game for Johns Hopkins dating back to 1972.
« Crotty added five receptions for 66 yards against Christopher Newport, seven receptions for 95 yards and two scores at Salisbury and seven receptions for 93 yards and a score at Rowan to push his season totals to 22 receptions for 237 yards and five TDs.
« Crotty's five touchdown receptions are tied for the most among freshmen in all divisions of the NCAA through games of September 30.
