Rowan Scores 21 Straight to Defeat TCNJ, 35-21, in Season Finale

EWING, NJ – Mike Husni rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as Rowan defeated TCNJ, 35-21, in the season finale for both teams. It marks the fifth straight year that the Profs have won their final game of the season
 
Tied 14-14 in the second quarter, Rowan would score 21 straight points, with rushing touchdowns by Husni, James Fara and Ifreke Andy to pick up the win.
 
Fara broke the tie with a one-yard run that completed a five-play, 62-yard drive.
 
At the start of the third quarter, Rowan needed just three plays to score. Jajuan Hays had two carries, with the second being a 43-yard burst to the TCNJ 18. Andy took it from there, with an 18-yard touchdown to put the Profs up, 28-14.
 
Later in the third quarter, a combination of passes to John Maldonado, Terry Carlstrom and runs by Fara got the Profs to the TCNJ one-yard line. Husni ran it in to score the final points of Rowan's season and give the Profs a 35-14 lead.
 
Husni had a 27-yard touchdown and the teams were tied, 7-7, at the end of the first quarter. Rowan took a 14-7 lead late in the second quarter with a drive that included a 34-yard completion to Carlstrom and a one-yard touchdown by Fara.
 
Husni completed 10-of-15 for 168 yards and ran for 41 yards, while scoring twice. Maldonado had five catches for 104 yards and Hays gained 90 yards on the ground with Fara picking up 87.
 
Mike Mascioli led the Rowan defense with 10 tackles, followed by AJ Akins with nine as the Profs limited TCNJ to just 90 yards on the ground.
 
Rowan posted 401 yards of total offense, including 233 on the ground.  
 
Rowan finishes the season going 2-8 and 2-4 in NJAC play.
