Today's Contest
Today is the eighth Ohio Athletic Conference game and the final road game of the 2019 season for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it travels to Ada for a showdown with Ohio Northern University. Last week, the Yellow Jackets defeated Marietta  College by a final score of 17-3.  Ohio Northern fell to No. 2 University of Mount Union by a final score of 63-24.

The Series
BW and Ohio Northern are meeting for the 45th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 30-13-1 advantage in the all-time series  The Yellow Jackets have won seven of the last 11 meetings. BW is 2-3 in its last five games in Ada with its last victory coming with a 28-27 nail bitter in 2015.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert 
Hilvert is in his third season at BW and has a record of  21-7 and OAC slate of 18-7. He is 87-26 in his 11th overall season and is 1-1 against Ohio Northern. 

Ohio Northern Head Coach Dean Paul 
Paul is in his 16th season at Ohio Northern and is the all-time winningest coach in program history with a record of 105-57. He has an OAC mark of 91-51. Paul is 145-69 in 20 overall seasons and is 5-10 against BW. 

Last Game vs. ONU -- Nov. 3, 2018
BW scored 48 points on 266 yards passing, 242 yards rushing and 508  total yards.  Ohio Northern scored 41 points on 392 yards passing, 111 yards rushing and 503 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored 17 points on 166 yards passing and 117 yards rushing for a 283 yards of total offense. Marietta scored three points on 193 yards passing, 85 yards rushing and 278 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders
Offensively, freshman quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) has completed 79 of 128 passes with two interceptions. Armitage ranks seventh in the OAC with 1237 yards and is sixth in the league with 13 touchdowns. Sophomore All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the ground attack and is fifth in the OAC with 665 yards on 142 carries and is tied for sixth in the league with seven touchdowns. Junior wideout Iyan Mitchell (Tampa, Fla./Robinson) leads the receiving corps and is eighth in the OAC with 32 catches, fourth in the league with 637 yards and is tied for sixth in the conference with seven touchdowns.  Defensively, senior linebacker Josh Liberati (Lisbon/David Anderson) leads the team and is eighth in the OAC with 69 tackles.  Sophomore linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) is second the squad and is 11th in league with 59 stops.  Senior defensive back Jordyn Johnson (Akron/North) is third with 51 tackles but leads the team and is tied for third in OAC with eight pass breakups.

Scouting the Polar Bears
In week seven of the season, Ohio Northern scored 24 points on 143 yards rushing, 130 yards passing and 273 total yards. Mount Union scored 63 points on 396 yards passing, 208 yards rushing and 604 total yards. 

Ohio Northern Leaders
Offensively, senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC quarterback Anthony McFadden has completed 117-of-185 passes with three interceptions.  McFadden is fifth in the OAC with 1,546 and is third with 20 touchdowns.   Junior All-American running back Christiaan Williams leads the OAC in rushing with 1,141 yards on 184 carries and is tied for third in the league with nine touchdowns.  Sophomore wideout Austin Eick leads the receiving corps and is second in the OAC in touchdowns with 10, fifth in the conference with 36 catches and is sixth in the league with 593 yards.  Defensively,  senior All-OAC linebacker Mark Niles leads the OAC with  95 tackles and is tied for second in quarterback sacks with eight and tackles for loss with 11.  Freshman defensive lineman Josh Bever leads the OAC in quarterbacks sacks and tackles for loss with nine and 13.5, respectively.
