St. Thomas Football scored a 56-7 road win at St. Olaf -- and suddenly has a chance to potentially share a conference championship with St. John's after the Johnnies' 19-18 overtime loss at home to Concordia-Moorhead.

The Toms (6-2 overall, 5-1 MIAC) have tough home games to go with Gustavus and No. 9-ranked Bethel over the next two Saturdays. With wins in both those games, the Toms can share the league crown.

Josh Parks recorded his 20th career 100-yard rushing game (21 carries, 122 yards). He scored three TDs to move into second on the MIAC career touchdown list with 55. The Toms had 32 first downs, no punts and 678 yards of offense. Tommy Dolan passed for 268 yards and two scores, and backup QB Ronnie Jones rushed for 55 yards and two TDs. Grant Slavik had three catches for 104 yards. Vinny Pallini had a 59-yard touchdown catch and a 47-yard kickoff return.

The Purple defense limited the Oles to 139 yards on 48 plays. They forced eight punts and allowed just 1-of-11 on third-down conversions. Freshman LB Tommy Shelstad had two sacks.
