BW's Sarris Earns First Career Football Weekly Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman place kicker Dean Sarris (Canton/GlenOak) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career

Sarris earns his first career weekly honor after converting two field goals and four extra points in BW's 42-28 victory last Saturday over Muskingum.   The right footer tied a career-long of 39 yards with his first field in the first quarter and then added a 29-yarder in the second quarter.

This season, Sarris has appeared in all six games and is tied for the team lead with 36 points scored.   He has converted 4-of-7 field goals and 24-of-25 extra point attempts.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 26 when they host an OAC and Hall of Fame game against Wilmington College on the Tressel Field inside The George Finnie Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
