Today's Contest: 
Today is the fifth Ohio Athletic Conference game and fourth road contest for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it travels to New Concord to take on Muskingum University.  Last week, BW was idle as it had its bye week.  Two weeks ago, the Yellow Jackets defeated Capital University by a final score of 37-7 on Community and Family Day and Homecoming. Muskingum was also idle last week.  On October 5, the Muskies were defeated by No. 17 John Carroll University by a final score of 31-10

The Series: 
BW and Muskingum are meeting for the 63rd time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 47-13-2 all-time series lead, including winning 12 of the last 14 contests.  In the last 14 meetings, BW has outscored the Muskies by a margin of 406-188.  The series began in 1917 when Muskingum defeated the Yellow Jackets, 25-7, in New Concord.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his third season at BW and has a record of 18-7 and OAC slate of 15-7. He is 85-26 in his 11th overall season and is 2-0 against Muskingum. 

Muskingum Head Coach Erik Ieuter 
Ieuter is in his second season at Muskingum and has a record of 6-9 and an OAC mark of 4-9.  He is 0-1 against Baldwin Wallace. 

Last Game vs. Muskingum -- Oct. 13, 2018:
BW scored 44 points on 228 yards passing, 169 yards passing and 397  total yards. Muskingum scored seven points on 338 yards passing, minus 10 yards rushing and 328 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week five of the season, BW scored 37 points on 310 yards passing and 163 yards rushing for 473 yards of total offense. Capital scored seven points on 130 yards passing and 68 yards rushing for 198 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, freshman quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) has completed 34 of 52 passes for 539 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception.  Sophomore All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the ground attack and is eighth in the OAC with 379 yards on 82 carries and is tied for seventh in the league with three touchdowns. Junior wideout Iyan Mitchell (Tampa, Fla./Robinson) leads the receiving corps and is sixth in the OAC with 22 catches and 396 yards with three touchdowns.  Defensively, senior linebacker Josh Liberati (Lisbon/David Anderson) leads the team and is seventh in the OAC with 42 tackles, including a two for a loss.   Senior defensive back Jordyn Johnson (Akron/North) is second on the squad with 37 stops and leads the team and is tied for third in OAC with six pass breakups.

Scouting the Fighting Muskies
In week three of the season, Capital scored six points on 221 yards passing, 30 yards rushing and 251 total yards. Heidelberg scored 55 points on 382 yards rushing, 300 yards passing and 682 total yards. 

Muskingum Leaders : 
Offensively, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Brody Hahn has completed 63 of 114 passes for 723 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.  Senior running back Bernard Johnson leads the ground attack with 381 yards on 74 carries with two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Darius Hayes-Carruth leads the receiving corps with 13 receptions for 204 yards with two touchdowns. Defensively, junior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nehemiah Bowie leads the team with 36 tackles, including 1.5 for loss.
