ROME, Ga. — The No. 7 Berry College football team collected six sacks and allowed just 32 rushing yards to preserve its unbeaten record on Saturday, defeating previously undefeated Hendrix College 27-9.

The Vikings improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The victory is also Berry's 20th-straight at home. Hendrix fell to 4-1 and 2-1 in league play.

Berry opened scoring in the first quarter with a 24-yard Trey Gregory field goal and a 36-yard touchdown from Mason Kinsey to hold a 10-0 lead after the opening period. Sandy Burks hit a 24-yard field goal to put the Warriors on the board in the second quarter, but on the ensuing kickoff, Mason Kinsey took the return 97-yards for a score to set a program record for longest kickoff return.
