Recap: Utica scored touchdowns on eight of its first nine possessions and ran away with a 75-14 victory over Hartwick football on Saturday at Wright Stadium. The Pioneers wasted little time getting going as they took the opening kickoff 81 yards for the early touchdown. They would add three more scores in a 5:27 span later for a 28-0 first-quarter lead and they were off and running. Hartwick sophomore quarterback Matthew Ragno (Farmingdale, NY/Holy Trinity Dioc.) provided a spark off the bench as he came in to throw for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick on 20-of-32 passing. He would connect with Kishaun Bell (Beacon, NY/Beacon) for a 20-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. He also hit Dylan Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Iona Prep) for an 8-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. The Pioneers gained 492 yards of offense, led by Malcolm Stowe's 228 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The Hawks would earn 265 yards of offense. Utica would accumulate 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in the contest.

 

Final Totals: Corey Sachs (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) led all players with six catches. He registered 43 reception yards. Bell finished with five receptions for 127 yards. Mucci, playing in his final game, made five grabs for 43 yards. Raeleigh Ranne (Liberty, NY/Liberty), Dylan Williams-Bachman (Homer, NY/Homer), and Josh Wilcox (Ithaca, NY/Candor) each had a team-high five tackles for the Hawks. Williams-Bachman had a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery. Wilcox, in his last game at 'Wick, also contributed a TFL and he forced a fumble. Senior Biagio Bucciferro (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) contributed four hits and a pass broken up.
