The Series: The Buccaneers and Fighting Scots are meeting for the 57th time in a series MC leads 34-21 with one tie.  Monmouth has won the last five meetings and 12 of the last 13 going back to the 2003 season.  The lone Beloit win in that stretch came in 2010, a 34-27 victory at Strong Stadium.  The programs first met in the final game of the 1906 season, an 11-0 Fighting Scots win.  MC won the first three meetings before the Bucs came out on top in 1910 17-0 in the first recorded Homecoming Game.  That 1910 win started a four-game winning streak by BC in the series in which Beloit out-scored Monmouth 125-5.  After the 1913 53-0 Buccaneer win the series didn't resume again until 1926…

Bucs Most Recent Game:  Beloit came up just short last Saturday at Strong Stadium, falling 21-14 to Macalester College.  The Scots scored a TD in both the third and fourth quarters while the Bucs were stopped short of the end zone in the third before scoring late in the game for the final score.  Macalester struck first on a short run with 10 seconds left in the opening quarter.  The Buccaneers even it up at 7 apiece at 9:12 of the second quarter on a 19-yard scoring pass from Danny May to Ryan Sughroue.  That scored held into halftime.  MC grabbed the lead for good 3:03 into the second half on a 15-yard run.  The Bucs were within a yard of tying it up but a bobbled snap on fourth down turned the ball back over to the Macs.  Macalester increased their lead to two TDs early in the fourth quarter on a short pass.  Beloit got back with one score with 43 seconds left when May hit Ethan Conley with a seven-yard scoring pass.  But the ensuing on-side kick was recovered by MC, who took two kneel-downs to run out the clock for the win.  Beloit finished with 438 total yards while allowing 294.  May finished with 225 yards passing and added 72 rushing yards.  Mason Dixon rushed for 125 yards on 20 carries and caught five passes for a team-high 62 yards.  Sughroue also had five catches for 58 yards.  David Lafayette made nine tackles, seven solo, to lead the defense.  Riley Pearson had three tackles, including two sacks and a forced fumble.  Henry Jacobsen made the game's lone interception…

Bucs' Last Time vs. the Fighting Scots: Beloit couldn't rebound from a first-half deficit and dropped a 41-21 decision to Monmouth College at Strong Stadium on October 3, 2015.  The Fighting Scots had the only scoring in the opening quarter with a pair of short TD runs and made it 17-0 early in the second quarter on a 22-yard field goal.  MC increased their lead to 24-0 with 35 seconds left in the half on a short scoring pass before the Buccaneers got on the board 22 seconds later on a 10-yard scoring pass from Danny May to Mike Nolden, making it 24-7 at the break.  A 35-yard field goal by Monmouth accounted for the only scoring in the third quarter before both teams scored twice in the fourth.  Nolden caught a five-yard scoring toss from May with 8:33 left but the Scots answered on a 12-yard touchdown pass and then scored their final points on a 13-yard run.  Nate Brault closed out the scoring with 2:02 remaining with a 27-yard TD pass from May.  Monmouth had 461 yards in offense, 281 on the ground, while Beloit finished with 396, 306 thru the air.  May had all of the 306 yards passing but was also intercepted three times.  Nolden finish with eight catches for 126 yards while Brault had three catches for 80 and Kam Sallee nine catches for 72.  Mason Dixon was held to just 76 rushing yards on 14 carries.  Defensively Antonio Jones had 23 tackles, 11 solo, the second-most tackles in a game in program history.  Quin Dixon had 16 and Brenden Endrina 11.  Jones and Dixon both recovered fumbles and David Lafayette had an interception.  Danny Quijas had the lone sack for Beloit…
