ROME, Ga.- Dale Jackson tossed five touchdown passes as Berry College exploded with a 46-24 win over Hendrix College at Barron Stadium on Saturday.

The Vikings improved to 2-4 and 1-2 in the Southern Athletic Association. With the defeat, Hendrix fell to 4-2 and 2-1.

Jackson was 24-35, tossing 5 TDs and no interceptions for 243 yards through the air. He added 46 yards rushing on 10 carries.  Hendrix quarterback Dylan Shelton threw for 3 touchdowns, but also had 2 interceptions on the day.

BC led 10-0 after the first quarter and held a 23-10 advantage at halftime. The Vikings outscored HC 10-0 in the third period. The Warriors, however, scored 14 points to BC's 3 in the final 15 minutes.

Running back Jalen Tuggle put up 68 yards on 16 carries. BC wide receiver Christopher Lillysnagged 6 catches for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 17 yards per catch. Receivers Trey Ciresi and Josh Bullock also recorded a touchdown each.

Berry kicker Campbell Harrison was a perfect 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts and 5 for 5 on extra point conversions.

On defense, Preston Stewart had two sacks and three tackles for losses. Jackson Putnam added a fumble recovery and Bryce Bailey and Malcholm Graham both recorded interceptions.

"It was great to finally put together a complete game," said Berry Head Coach Tony Kunczewski. "We had tremendous play on offense, particularly with Dale Jackson at quarterback and Chris Lilly having another great game. But really the credit goes to defense and special teams, too. And I think our staff did a great job today, and preparing for this game."

The Vikings play at Birmingham-Southern next Saturday.
