DEFIANCE, Ohio –

The freshman running back notched over 97 percent of the vote, pulling in 253 of the 259 votes cast for his 58-yard touchdown sprint at Adrian on September 8. The rush was Smith's first collegiate score and held up has his longest rush of the season.

Carrabino followed the next week by setting a contest record with 1,216 votes and also posted the largest margin of victory by eclipsing the second-place highlight by 500 tallies. Carrabino hauled in over 60 percent of the vote, for his career-high 80-yard catch and run to pay dirt on September 15 against Rose-Hulman.
