CHICAGO -- Carnegie Mellon University (5-4, 1-1 UAA) rushed for 340 yards en route to a 28-13 win over the University of Chicago (5-4, 0-2 UAA) in University Athletic Association football action Saturday at Stagg Field.

A pair of Patrick Blanks touchdown runs gave Carnegie Mellon a 14-3 lead after one quarter.
Chicago scored 10 unanswered points in the second period on Kevin Shelton's 2-yard quarterback keeper and a 39-yard field goal off the foot of Jeff Sauer.
A Chris Garcia 1-yard plunge in the third quarter and Blanks' third touchdown of the day in the fourth quarter, this time from 7 yards out, accounted for the only scoring of the second half.

Brizzolara's 107 receiving yards marked his eighth 100-yard effort in as many UAA games during his career.
Zak Ross-Nash rushed for 82 yards on 15 attempts.
Blanks led the Tartans' ground attack with 171 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns (7, 11, 27 yards), while Garcia gained 90 yards on 17 attempts.
