Elmhurst athletic director Glen Brittich announced that Jeff McDonald has stepped down as head football coach after four seasons at the helm of the Bluejays.

"I want to thank Coach McDonald for his dedication to Elmhurst University the past four seasons" Brittich said. "As we move forward, it is the priority of our institution to build a competitive football program both nationally and in the CCIW."

The Bluejays were 2-28 in his four seasons, including a COVID year in which Elmhurst did not get in a countable game.

Elmhurst will launch a national search to identify McDonald's successor.
