"Al Logan is admired by many Muskies for his hard work and dedication to Muskingum," said athletic director Larry Shank said in a statement issued by the athletic department. "We are grateful for his service to our institution and our student-athletes."

The Muskies returned 18 starters from last year's 4-6 season but struggled, winning the season opener vs. Muskingum and the season finale against Wilmington to finish 2-8, 1-8 in the OAC. Logan was 29-81 in 11 seasons.

The 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference coach of the year, Logan had built the Muskies up from an 0-10 season in his first year to a 4-6 mark. But although Muskingum had two other 4-6 seasons in his tenure, the team never broke through to the .500 mark.

Logan's career mark stands at 33-95.
