Steve Baudendistel has resigned as head coach of Hanover's football team. The change at the top of the program’s leadership is effective immediately.

Baudendistel, who recently completed his fourth season at the Panthers’ helm, guided the squad to a 15-25 record during his tenure. His teams posted a 15-17 mark in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contests.

Hanover earned a 6-4 record in his first season as head coach, including a second-place finish in the HCAC standings with a 6-2 mark. The Panthers had a 5-5 record in 2013 and finished with a 2-8 overall mark in both 2014 and 2015.

Baudendistel, a 2001 Hanover graduate, served as an assistant coach with the Panthers’ for eight seasons before taking the reins of the program in 2012.

A search for Hanover's next head coach will begin immediately.
