Henny Hiemenz has resigned as head football coach at Carroll, athletic director Joe Baker announced.

"Carroll University thanks Coach Hiemenz for his hard work and dedication to our football program and the department of athletics," said Baker. "We wish him the best in all his future endeavors."

Mark Krzykowski, assistant head football coach and defensive coordinator, will assume head coaching responsibilities on an interim basis. Hiemenz has accepted another position at Carroll.

In five seasons at the helm, Hiemenz's squads compiled a record of 28-22 overall, including a 26-19 mark in the Midwest Conference. The Pioneers were 7-3 this past season, 6-3 in conference play, and have had only one losing season in Hiemenz's tenure.

Carroll will immediately begin a national search for a head football coach.
