The 2010 Division III football season started off with a
barnburner, as UW-River Falls went back and forth with No. 11 Ohio
Northern before the
host Polar Bears pinned the Falcons deep, recovered a fumble and
scored two plays later to take the lead for good en route to a
35-21.

A bowl of chowder and a lot of bragging rights were on the line
Thursday night in New York as SUNY-Maritime
rallied to edge Mass Maritime 15-12. Nathan Sherr returned to
the field for Mass Maritime and ran for 149 yards and a touchdown,
but freshman Thomas Davis found the end zone with 4:21 left to give
the home-standing Privateers the win.
There are six more games on Friday and more than 80 more on
Saturday as Week 1 gets underway!
